Powys county Council have arranged drop-in surgeries where residents can come and speak to officers in person, get more information about the scheme and see examples of the new bins and containers. They will take place on:
- Monday 10 October – Talgarth Mill (9am-2pm) and Glasbury Village Hall (3-5pm)
- Tuesday 11 October – CriC, Crickhowell (9am-2pm) and Henderson Hall, Talybont (3-5pm)
- Wednesday 12 October – Hay-on-Wye Youth and Community Centre, Oxford Road (9am-2pm)
- Thursday 13 October – Bwlch Village Hall (2-4pm) and Llangattock Community Hall (5-7pm)
An introductory leaflet Has been delivered to all households. It will provide details of the scheme, advertise the drop-in surgeries and raise awareness about the assisted collections and the smaller wheeled bins.
Posters advertising the new scheme and the surgeries are also being put up in and around the area to increase awareness of the changes.
Powys have contacted Hay town council along with primary and secondary schools offering a talk about the new scheme
